How to Apply

We have broken up the entire application for “ Sri Lanka My Dream Home program” procedures into three simple steps: Remember: applications are processed only in Colombo and may be rejected if not properly prepared.

STEP ONE

Obtain principal approval to your application from Sri Lanka Immigration and receive Provisional Approval Letter (PAL)

Send the following documents to us:

1. Letter of Intention (Cover Letter). The Cover letter should include Personal background and indicate your intention to join Sri Lanka My Dream Home Programme, with whom you wish to come ( single or with family), briefly explain how you will support your stay in Sri Lanka (financial capabilities)

2. Duly filled Residence Visa Application Form (Application Form) Every dependant must have separate application )
   
   
3. Four (4) passport size color photographs.
   
   
4. A certified copy of a Marriage Certificate (if accompanied by spouse)
   
   
5. A certified copy (s) of birth certificate (if accompanied by Children)
   
   
6. A certified copy of Passport (Data Page ). Passport must have a validity of at least 12 months
   
   
7. Confirmation letter by a recognized bank /pension fund to indicate applicant has transferable monthly income of at least US$1500 for principal and US$750 for each dependent. (please consult us for more information)
   
   
8. Police clearance certificate not later than 06 months from country of citizenship. If you have stayed more than 12 months continuously in another country other than your home country, police clearance certificate from that country must be submitted. (please consult us for more information)
   
   
9. Authorization Letter – a letter authorizing Migration Lanka Services to handle your Dream Home Visa matter. (For sample letter – Click Here)

STEP TWO

Launching your application: When we receive your application, we will carry out the following registration process: 

1. We will notify you upon receiving of your documents to us( to check whether it is in order)
   
   
2. Coordinate with you to add more information to the application if sufficient information was not provided by the applicant.
   
   
3. We will notify you on completion of the forms / documents as required by law and confirm you that your application is ready for submission
   
   
4. We will inform the applicant to make an initial payment for us to launch the application (please consult us for more information)
   
   
5. You will make an initial payment to our Bank account in Sri Lanka (please consult us for more information)
   
   
6. Upon receipt of your payment to our bank account, we will submit the application to the Department of Immigration of Sri Lanka. We will again notify you about the submission by faxing or E-mailing you of the department's acknowledgement receipt
   
   
7. We will obtain inside two weeks the principal approval to your application from immigration and send you the Provisional Approval Letter (PAL)

STEP THREE

Once we have PAL, we shall do the followings: Please note that during STEP -3 your presence in Sri Lanka is desirable.

1. We will notify the applicant by sending the PAL and request the applicant to travel to Sri Lanka
   
   
2. We will arrange Entry Visa for you to travel to Sri Lanka
   
   
3. Upon your arrival Sri Lanka to we will assist you to open a USD fixed deposit account, Sri Lanka Rupee Saving Account, purchase a medical insurance acceptable to immigration Department and medical check-up if necessary
   
   
4. Assist obtaining the letter of confirmation from bank addressed to Immigration
   
   
5. We will apply and obtain your Multiple Entry My Dream Home Visa from the Immigration Department
   
   
6. You will settle the balance of our professional fee (please consult us for more information)
   
   
7. Other assistance like locating the best property most suited to your needs, finding the best vehicle available locally for your budget , obtaining a permanent maid to assist in your daily chores, and other friendly tips

Note: If you apply through us we guarantee 100% success of your application as we launch applications ONLY when and if they meet all the requirement set by the Visa Regulations in Sri Lanka. The entire process for us in obtaining VISA under “ Sri Lanka My Dream Home program” could takes about 30 working days. We will act for and guide the applicant throughout the whole process.

Terms and Conditions

• This scheme is open to all foreign nationals who are over 50 years of age. Applicant is allowed to bring his/her spouse and under 18 years unmarried children as dependents
  
  
• To qualify for the scheme, applicants required to remit US$ 15,000.00 and deposit them in a fixed deposit account in an approved Commercial Bank in Sri Lanka.
  
  
• In addition to the above, US$1500 for the applicant and US$750 for each spouse and dependent children should be remitted to Sri Lanka for their upkeep.
  
  
• Applicants under this scheme may withdraw their entire fixed deposit anytime should they decide to terminate their stay in Sri Lanka with prior approval
  
  
• Interest gain from the fixed deposit can be withdrawn and utilized for the applicant’s upkeep.
  
  
• Government visa fee is Rs: 20,000 per year for each applicant (approx: 200 S$) and 150.00 USD processing charge is applicable
  
  
• No employment is allowed while staying in Sri Lanka however, it is permitted to engage in any business or investment
  
  
• Should not involve in any political activities in Sri Lanka and not participate in any activities that can be considered as sensitive to the local people and a threat to the security of the country
  
  
• Applicants are bound by the rules and regulations of taxes of Sri Lanka and they are liable to pay relevant taxes.
  
  
• In an unlikely situation where Migration Lanka Services (Pvt) Ltd is unable to obtain the Provisional Approval Letter (PAL) as described in STEP-1, the fees paid to us will be refunded in total (except US$ 50.00 for bank transfer cost) to applicant
