Do I need a visa to visit Sri Lanka? |
| Yes, all nationalities (except nationals of Singapore and Maldives) irrespective of reason must have a valid visa to visit Sri Lanka. |

| 2. How to get a Tourist and Business Visa for Sri Lanka. |
If you are making a holiday or business visit to Sri Lanka and plan to stay NOT more than 30 days in Sri Lanka then we advise you to apply your visa through the Government of Sri Lanka online Electronic Travel Authorization ETA” which is more cost effective for you. ETA allows visitors to apply for stay up to maximum of 30 days. www.eta.gov.lk

| 3. How is your online three-month Tourist and Business Visa works? |
This is one of, if not, the quickest and cheapest way to get your three month visa for Sri Lanka. You just need to fill in our "Online Application Form", and send to us. No payment required. Upon receipt of your application, we will assess it and inform you within one hour by email the total cost for processing your visa.
We start processing your case only after full payment is received to our bank account. On your behalf, we will immediately submit the visa application to Immigration and obtain the fully paid three month "Visa approval " from Immigration in Colombo and will forward you a copy by email. At the same time, visa approval details will automatically be sent to Immigration computer system at the airport. When you arrive in Sri Lanka, the Immigration officers will have those documents ready and will be able to issue your visa quickly. No payment what so ever is required at the airport. |

| 4. Is the “Online visa ” legitimate? |
| Yes it is. Online visa is an alternative way to get your visa to Sri Lanka. Also the International Air Traffic Association (IATA) has recognized Online visa. Check out the visa information sections on the Sri Lanka Immigration website. Other governments also recognize visa on arrival as a legitimate travel document, such as the U.S. Department of State |

| 5. How long does it take to get the approval letter if I apply my visa through you? |
| Normally, the approval letter is processed within two (2) business days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and National Holidays). In urgent cases, your visa request can be processed within 4-8 working hours (excluding weekends and weekday evenings). |

| 6. Are there any restrictions with three month Tourist and Business visa? |
| Yes, Tourist and Business visas are valid for said purposes and change of visa category after arrival is generally not allowed. Employment paid or unpaid is also prohibited |

| 7. Do you require a scan of my passport scan? |
| Passport scan is not required for an online visa application. However, if the Immigration office wishes to verify the information you provide, you are required to send them a scan copy of your passport. In such cases, we will notify you by email immediately. |

| 8. Should I provide you with the exact date of arrival? |
| No, not necessarily. The arrival date you provide should be the earliest you plan to arrive, but you can arrive after that date. The departure date is the last day you are permitted to be in the country, unless you get a visa extension.
For example: If you apply for a 3-month visa and submit your arrival date as January 1, 2012, the visa approval letter will be valid for six months (from Jan 1, 2012 – June 31). You can arrive anytime between Jan 1 – June 31 but must leave the country before the end of three months from the date of arrival. |

| 9. What are the procedures at Sri Lanka airport? |
| Upon arrival at the airport, directly proceed to the Immigration counter and produce your passport and copy of the Visa Approval to the immigration officer. No payment is required. You can expect the process to take about 2 - 3 minutes in total and you will be given the visa |

| 10. How can I get a Sri Lankan Work or Residence Visa? |
| Sri Lankan Work or Residence Visas are issued by the Department of Immigration and Emigration in Colombo. All applications have to for such visas have to be made to the Immigration Head office in Colombo with required supporting documents.. Click here for more details. |

| 11. When I am in Sri Lanka can I get my visa extended? |
| The Department of Immigration in Colombo is responsible for extending visas and extensions are granted strictly on merit of the case after careful assessment of each case. Many extensions are NOT granted. The application for extension must be made before the expiry of the visa. The applicant seeking extension must meet the laid down requirements for such an extension and should be accompanied supporting documents. We can assist you in visa extensions. No, as a general rule, the Department of Immigration does NOT allow change of visa category after arrival. We advise visitors to apply the right visa category before arrival.
